So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm gonna re-edit the jpegs soon so a lot of those shots should look much better. I had the black point set wrong for a bunch of them so they look really washed out.

That's an awesome camera, congrats. I've wanted to go digital but I just don't have the cash. Oh, you've probably heard of it but check out http://www.luminous-landscape.com. It has a huge amount of info on digital photography. I check it everyday.

What kind of shots do you take? Any way for you to share them? I'd love to check em' out.

Brooks should be fun. I contemplated going there but it was a bit too expensive and I didnt' have a desire to be in the darkroom. I'm curious what their program's like now that film is pretty much out of the picture(bad pun I know). I might have to reconsider.
If you end up going there you should check out Frans Lantings gallery. It's in the Santa Barbera area. He's one of my very favorite photographers, amazing stuff.

MWR wrote:I just wanted to clear this up. This is not based off of E Harmonic minor. It's actually based off the 5fth mode of the harmonic minor scale also known as Phrygian Dominant. This means it's the notes of A Harmonic minor with E as the tonal center

The notes of E Harmonic minor: E,F#,G,A,B,C,D#

The notes of E Phyrgian Dominant: E, F, G#, A, B, C, D

You'll notice that in the verse riff F and D are both natural not sharp but the G is sharp. This scale makes the I chord a dominant or major chord hence the 076xxx during the verse. If this were in E Harmonic minor the I would be minor.

In laymans terms you would want to play A Harmonic minor but treat E as the root.

The Last Stop is based around F# Phrygian Dominant (same notes as B Harmonic minor with F# being the tonal center)
Man, thanks MWR, I've been looking for a way to explain the harmonic minor/phrygian dominant discrepency for a while. I tell people The last stop is in B harmonic minor and they look at me like I'm crazy.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away
