ants is probably the least creative and overplayed song by dmb, if your reason for voting off rhyme and reason is because its overplayed in concerts, that is pretty fucking stupid. ants is way overplayed in general. and you probably wouldn't hear rhyme and reason live so much if you didn't have the compelling urge to download every single fucking live show.

now back to ants: probably the only song dave wrote in those days when he wasn't stoned. the guitar part is repetitive and gets old fast. the only cool thing about that songs guitar is the intro i saw done live that is a cool walkdown in G mixolydian. i have to admit that the interplay between the violin and sax fills are pretty nice, but you can get that from just about any other song by the group.

plain and simple, i dont like the song. i shouldn't have to explain myself, but apparently me not liking ants nullifies my ability to be a fan of the rest of their music...
