What is that in his soundhole? I noticed he had one in his Taylors, too.

It's almost like a rubber stopper. It cuts feedback and background noise.

Is your guitar plugged in alot ? A feedback buster is only to cut some of the feedback so you only hear the pickup , apperently Dave has been using it alot lately , on the Farm Aid shows , and everytime he has a Taylor 914ce in his hands  Never seen him using it on a Martin b4 i saw that picture though

it really makes it a lot easier to plug in. especially if you've had problems before. I play with another guy and he never needs one and for my guitar , the second i take the Buster out i get crazy feedback, so i'm telling you it really does work.

of course it has a threashold so if you go to loud or something it's still gonna give feedback, just not nearly as bad.

Nice post grock :) Also if you don't plug in your guitar , don't put a feedback buster in

Good thinking!

it shouldn't be more than 10 bucks and at that price why not have one "just in case"...

I'd recommend the feedback buster. Don't leave it in when you aren't plugged in though

really cuz i don't notice a significant difference, i think there is some bass lost but it is by no means a quieter guitar just by covering the soundhole.
