Smooth Rider was enjoyable tonight actually. It had a lot of energy. Wow, what a show! I was pumped to hear So Right. Shotgun is a cool little tune too. Night one was also great, but overall, night two was the better show. I really like the addition of Rashawn Ross. He adds a lot to some of the songs. The salsa jam on Warehouse is where he shined tonight. I liked Ian Gordon and Reggie Watkins guesting as well. The horn section was really stron with these two joining the rest of the band. I liked it a lot. I feel as though I'm rambling, so I'm going to go to bed...

I want to know how the horns are for So Right...sounds like they'd be great there.

Nothing spectacular, but great nonetheless. I love the jazz feel the horns bring to everything. Bayou on night one rocked with the four man brass section.

I went there without a ticket assuming I could easily buy one in the parking lot because every other concert Ive been to, people have asked me if I wanted to buy a ticket like 100 times. Well, not only was the show sold out, but NO ONE had an extra ticket to sell, so I ended up hanging out in the parking lot with a bunch of friends who also went with the intention of buying a ticket there. We still had a good time but wow did we miss one hell of a concert. As soon as torrents go up for both nights someone let me know, Id really like to hear.

well i was supposed to go to both pitt shows but got pretty sick with strep throat and didn't go to night 1 - but thats ok cause last night was the best dave show i've ever seen! it was awesome, pig was great, it was really special to see a debut song, idea of you was fun to hear, JTR of course was nice, and finally i've heard two step live - EDIT - almost forgot, dave fucked up billies, for some reason that made it more fun to watch

i thought the new song would be called "the first time" but shotgun makes sense too - cool little guitar riff, reminded me of christmas for some reason, i really like that song - also, before WAYG butch, carter, and maybe stefan played something, had potential and i thought it was a new song at the time

other highlight of the day:

Image
meeting butch, carter, and boyd at the westin in pittsburgh! got their autographs and pics with boyd and carter - dave came out limping from the hotel, came over and said hi to everyone but said he was late for soundcheck, i'm assuming he just made up the limp so he wouldn't have to sign anything cause he was his typical dancing self at the show - sorry for the long post, but yesterday was amazing

I feel like crazy-easy and joy ride fit in really well with kill the king, idea of you, and shotgun.
