new song Smoothie Song kicks ass. but who is that bassist? that isnt the same guy that was playing in the concert i saw a year or two ago. do they constantly have different ones or did they just change recently?

is that the one where they just jam the whole time? i saw the video and yes it was pretty cool. i dont know about the bassist tho.

Nickel Creek is the Shizznits!!! They put on a great show! I saw them about 5 months ago at a small outdoor venue and they rocked the house. Yeah I do think they switch the bassist out every so often. I guess since he isn't actually in the band or what not.

The bassist's name is Mark Schatz. I saw him play with the band at Bumbershoot. They had a different bassist at Wintergrass 2002. I think that Thile's father played bass with them, too. For all you Seattlites, "on the mountain 9" has an awesome live version of Spit on a Stranger.

Yeah, so old top, but this thread mentions a song I'm trying to find tab for (smoothie song). i've looked all over the place but can't find anything. Anyone?

Yeah, same here. I've searched everywhere for good Creek tabs. It seems like there's only a handful out there.

Here's an interesting piece of interesting info. In the video for the song the bassist is non other than Metallica's Rob Trujillo on upright bass.

Old thread I know, but Nickel Creek bassist Mark Schatz is a super nice guy. He gave me free tickets to a show once, and we exchange emails quite frequently after we exchanged addresses at a show...cool dude indeed.
