yeah, i thought it worked on electrics because of the pickups?!?! so if you don't have some pickups like an electric (humbuckers, single coil, etc.) it probably won't work. Not sure about that though

it should work. it is a little magnet and since steel string guitars are steel, the magnet will be able to move the string.
however it may not, cuz it might not move the string enough to make volume on an acoustic.

yes they work great on ecoustic electrics, listen to howie day. he plays a song called ghost and uses that on the album and live intro to the song, yes it works fine, i have one by the way and they are the coolest, it even works unplugged which is very cool in my books, hope that helps...peace
