No man. Always take the high road. Jared will take action if he feels it's necessary.

Guys, if you do go over there (and I recommend that you do ***NOT***), please be polite and respectful. Your actions reflect back on DMBTabs, and ultimately on Kanter.
I'm not gonna get very heavily involved in this, as Kanter's the one who busted his tabbing stuff.

why go there when there's a 1000x more insight here anyway? there are no users to even chat with over there...that's gonna be a tough community to build on considering, the same community already exists here...
as Dave says in a queenie voice on L@LC "that would be like saying something, and then saying it again!"

@ grandpa beef.

yeah, I'm not even gonna waste my time and go to the site. I'm sure they're not the only ones ripping off the tabs from this site, it sucks if they don't give credit to the original tabber. other than that I don't really have a problem with that shit. they just gotta give the credit. oh well.
good, and you?

Don't worry guys, I'm on it....here is what I sent:
Webmaster of Dave-Mathews-Band.net,
It has come to my attention that the tablature section of your website contains the tabs that have been created by me, for DMBTabs.com. I am referring to your “copyright” statement at the bottom of your site that says,
“The content contained in this site, dave-matthews-band.net, is assumed to be within the realm of the Public's Right of "Fair Use" and no copyright infringement is intended. If any content - images, articles, etc - is discovered to be in violation of this policy, please e-mail
webmaster@dave-matthews-band.net. The content will either be credited or removed”
I would extremely appreciate if you would remove the tablature from your website. You had even taken the images used in my drop down menu for the links to the albums. A lot of hard work had been put into those tabs and even more work into the layout of the site. With tabs just being copied in text for things such as video’s, Dave Style Lessons, and the message boards are all lost……all of which have had a lot of time put into them to help teach people to learn DMB songs. If you would like to update your database and make each tab, when clicked on, open a new window with the dmbtabs.com website with that tab pops up, that would be more than perfect. You would still be able to provide your users with great tabs, and they get all the work that has been put into the actual site. Each song is listed as a number and you use this template to link to songs, <a href=
http://www.dmbtabs.com/song.php?sid=<SONG #>>. Go to each song on the site to get the # from the address.
Please contact me back at
jkanter@dmbtabs.com when you get this so we can get this problem resolved. Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Jared Kanter

We'll wait to hear back.....thanks for bringing it up...lata
