i just recording some random slap crap, to show my new bass strings, then posted it in a buelitin on myspace, the only thing is i did this weird little thumb thing that sounds awsome, but i cant do it again.

kinda, i can do a normal thump up, down. i can't do like the 4-5 finger one. but its one of his little strum thump things.

use as little of your fingers as you can, like the very very tips, and no pressure. do it lightly. What kinda strings you got?

i know the technique, i just dont practice it alot, im working too hard on things that matter. grooving, and reading music. im using DR hex core, the lowrider strings.

those are the strings I use on my 4 and 5. Good Strings, and good for you on working on grooving and such. You are gonna use it a whole lot more than Vic's
icing on the cake. Watch some of his video lessons, i used to have one that was like 2 hours long on my computer. But i lost it :(

i d/l live at bass day 98. which has good info on his techniques, also this one guy vid. camera the double thump technique with marcus miller and vic songs, i think i sent it to i am sam.
