really?.............every few songs??.... cause guitar strings need a couple of days to settle down after they are changed to keep in tune for long, they warp and strech and then find a new point where they can be tuned and stay tuned................ how many guitars does he have back stage then.......... i could see him changing strings every 2 or 3 shows maby, but songs............thats just plane self indulgent.
Gervais on Rosa Parks "she was arrested but then that law was changed- but she didnt stop there, she started sitting in the seats saved for disabled people. unbelavable, she talked to the driver when the bus was in motion- did she have the correct change ready? - did she bollox!"

the band's site tech page I could have sworn they said that he gets new strings every show. I dont knwo how many of each guitar he has sitting around, but im sure they are all newly strung and stretched etc....

but changing them multiple times a show is somethign i have never heard of.

First of all, every few songs is impossible, isnt practical, or necessary. He hardly ever changes guitars unless hes going to drop D or raised b. I wouldnt doubt he changes every show or every few shows, but every few songs, come on.

That is just something I read on here from someone who had front row seats and said he saw monk restringing guitars all the time. I probably should have stated that in my orginial post.

tch light strings are for weenies :P

I refuse to use anything but medium guage strings and Ernie Ball Earthwoods Medium Guage are my babies, I dont use anything else for my acoustic. I use Blue Steels on my electric though.
