MIDI Help

Unread post by mattinbeloit » Sun Sep 25, 2005 7:13 pm

Ok i have never worked with MIDI before so i appologise, this is probably a stupid question. I'm recording MIDI using protools and then using Reason as a synthesizer. My question is, how the hell do you convert the midi file to a wav file?

If you are using Reason standalone, go to the "File" menu and there is an entry "Export Song as Audio File.."

I am not familiar at all with Protools, but if you are using Protools as a master and Reason as a slave (via ReWire), then you can pretend that a Reason output channel is just like recorded audio. Again, not familiar with protools, but 100% gurantee there is something that says "Export" or "Save" or "Mixdown" or some combination thereof.

My answer is real generic, but then so was your question. So, if that doesn't do it for you, ask a better question. :-p
