So Damn Lucky Tab

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I'm not sure about the chorus, it doesn't sound quite right to me.
I hear an alternation.
Other then that, good stuff. Thanks.

This song is also most definately played on his 12-string.

There's no denying that beautiful Taylor W65 Koa wood sound but it's got to be a pain to tune.

Then again he probably has a hanful of those guitars.

>sigh<

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

My bad! That was a pretty obvious mistake given its a W65 but it does look a LITTLE like Koa wood.

Or not...maybe I need to get less sun. (shakes head)

But the Koa ones DO sound good!

I'm gonna go now.

The song is clearly in alternate tuning.. Here's how i would play it in standard... I can't wait for the solo album :)

Verse

e--------------------------------
b--------------------------------
g---9h11-----------9h11----------
d---9------(x2)----9h11---(x2)---
a---9h11-----------0-------------
e---0----------------------------

or:

e--------------------------------------
b---7s9--9----------14--12s14----------
g---8s9--9----------14--13s14----------
d---x----x---(x2)---11--11------(x2)---
a---7----7-----------0---0-------------
e---0----0-----------------------------

or:

e---0---0-----0---0---
b---0---0-----0---0---
g---9---8-----9---8---
d---9---6-----9---7---
a---7---7-----0---0---
e---0---0-------------

or any other combination of e and a that you like..
(022100)/(x02220)
(079900)/(x07900)

Chorus

e---0---0---3--- ---3---3---0--- ---0---0---0---0---(0)---
b---3---3---3--- ---3---3---0--- ---0---3---1---2---(0)---
g---2---2---0--- ---0---0---0--- ---0---2---0---0---(0)---
d---0---x---0--- ---0---0---2--- ---2---0---2---2---(2)---
a-------4---2--- ---2---x---2--- ---2-------3---0---(2)---
e-----------3--- ---3---2---0--- ---0----------------(0)---
