of course we were kidding. The longer you are here the more you can tell we anret serious about anything and if anything, we were making fun of sterotypes that are somehow labeled on black people.

I don't mind the kidding, and I laughed at some of the comments. Am I considered an oreo for listening to Dave?? :shock:

(and Mraz since this topic is about scatting). I can play alot of their stuff on the guitar. My bad, I know how alot of you feel about John Fuckin Mayer. Since I own every Tupac and Jay-Z cd, does this cancel this out??? :shock:

Thats why i said lay off jokes. dont want to offend anyone here...he shouldnt have to guess if they were jokes or not

by the way im a big fan of the jimi scat on CP, and the scat at the first of ASTB....also i have a bootleg of their latest show in toronto and he scats for about 3-4 minutes on jimi thing...sooo good

the thing about scatting, and beat boxing.. is confidence. dave doesnt give a shit about what people think when he does what he does, so he just makes tripped out sounds and thats it. We can speak gibberish too, but if you have confidence... you can be crazy as shit.
PLUS... dave smokes and drinks alot. That might have to do with it. this black stereotype thing is hilarium. how come no black people on these boards are protesting on our asses?

Maybe we should take a poll. I wonder how many black people actually come to the DMB boards here. Not very many I would assume. Maybe that's why you don't have a protest. But like I said, I have a pretty good sense of humor and I have friends who joke about stuff like that. Key word-Joke..they aren't really serious, which is what I was hoping for here.
