granny chorus

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

granny chorus

Unread post by UNCcrombie » Sun Apr 27, 2003 8:37 pm

so i finally got the verse down but during the "fast" part of the chorus i'm all screwed up and L@LC is making it worse for me to tell how the rhythm goes and the chords change. i sit there trying to read along and listen for changes but i get so lost. once the 2nd part comes(stop only old and wise) i seem to do ok until he gets to "you cant see what i can cause i" and "to the next pretty girl/good thing to come my way", any help?

Trying to read the tab along with the music is always confusing to me. How I usually do it is practice all the chords in order slowly, getting the tone of the chords in my head then listening to the music and trying to hear those tones. Its kinda weird but it helps with me

try this...

Code: Select all

E:----------2----------------------------------------------------------
B:----------3----------------------------------------------------------
G:----------2------------5---------------2-----------------------------
D:----------0------------x---------------x-----------------------------
A:-----------------------8---------------5-----------------------------
E:-----------------------6---------------3-----------------------------

I said it's love thats hiding there in the shadows in the darkness so
maybe we'll shed a little light and it will shine.....

E:----3-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B:----3-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
G:----0-----5/7--5---7----2----6---------7----2---6-----2-----------------9-----------
A:----0-----x----x---x----x----x---------x----x---x-----3----------------(5)----------
D:----2-----x----x---x----x----x---------x----x---x-----3-----------------x-----------
E:----3-----5/7--5---7----2----5---------7----2---5-----1-----------------8-----------

Stop On--ly old and wise with clou-ded eyes, you cant see what I can cause I...

What's the (5) part in the last chord of the chorus?

I'll post this again:

Code: Select all

E:----------2----------------------------------------------------------
B:----------3----------------------------------------------------------
G:----------2------------5---------------2-----------------------------
D:----------0------------x---------------x-----------------------------
A:-----------------------8---------------5-----------------------------
E:-----------------------6---------------3-----------------------------
If you play the 2nd chord (68x5xx), all you have to do for the last chord is slide down the next. The hand formation is EXACTLY the same, except for maybe slightly streching due to wider spaced frets.

remember on "maybe" you strum the D chord twice fast and hard
