Screw it, searching didn't help, quick question...

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Um... well whatever, I dled it off of Kazaa so who knows... I was under the impression that the 5 songs they did on the VH1 airing were just 5 of like 20 or so and so someone tapped the other 15 or whatever, anyways... could someone answer my question?

im confused, like the storytellers video has like 12 songs, i dont know what the full set was, but the only audio of the full show is poor quality someone got when they snuck a recorder in their hat.

um... 12 songs? The one I have only has like a clip of Satellite, Billies, Crush, Crash, Bartender/DDTW, and Ants... If there is a video with more songs, let me know.

THey didnt play let you down: http://www.dmbalmanac.com/tourshowset.a ... where=1999

But thats not your question anyway, Im sure dmbguitar can help you out with a clip (or someone else) I would but Im not good with that song at all. As for what portions of storytellers were released, there is a video that has like 6 or so songs like you mentioned, its not clips its the full songs and its what vh1 aired after the show. I have a cd that has those songs (and a few more I think, cant remember) that a friend of mine had with a vh1 storytellers label on it, I dont know if they released it or not but it is also good quality but not the whole show. There were audio and video complications during the recording of the show so there is now high quality version of the whole thing anywhere, just what vh1 released and a very shitty recording from a tape recorder that someone snuck in that day.

The key is the time signature. The verse is in 3/4 time, so each chord is strummed 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3. The I have no lid upon my head part is the same except its in 6/8, where each chord is strummed twice in every measure, like so: (one-triplet, two triplet; one triplet, two triplet.) If you listen to the piano in the crash version it gives you all six counts in each measure, so strum each chord twice in a measure and every three beats.

Just be mindful of the chord fills timmy does because they are off beat and have a tendancy to throw off the ear that is listening for the rhythm guitar played by dave.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

no offense to dave but it is fairly well known that most every song on Crash has Tim doing the rhythm parts as well.
