Taylor cannot not really be bought brand new from a wesite. They can be unplayed but it is against the Taylor policy to sell as "Brand New" online.

If you wanted to pick up a used one and get a deal on it check out http://www.taylorforum.com they have a forum for selling their used Taylors. You can get some good deals through there. And practically everyone is credible.

You can also check out the gear classifieds at Harmony Central http://www.harmony-central.com/cgi-bin/buyer.pl

They usually have Taylors for sale.

Good luck.

If you ever get beyond the Taylor/Martin thing, http://www.samusic.com just rocks.
And there's always ebay...

One thing you might want to try when you're ready to buy is talking the dealer or sales guy down. This even works at guitar center (they mark up like 40% sometimes). I was able to get the sales guy that sold me my guitar to come down from 1900$ to 1200$ and he threw in a 200$ case. They had an overstock  My friend did the same thing with his Martin. Anyway point is, if you buy from a store ask them to come down on the price. If they think you're serious they will probably budge.

shane the coolest thing is that THERE IS NO RISK!! samusic gives you a 10 day trial period on the guitars. if you are not satisfied after ten days, simply ship the guitar back and you get a FULL refund.

if you want some absolutely SICK deals, check out their used and dutch auctions pages. for instance, that morgan they have on the dutch auctions page right now can pretty easily go for almost 3000, but right now it's sitting at $1500. oh, and that breedlove they have, oh, i really would like to get my hands on a breedlove. someone scored that sold D-32 for like $1350. on their used page they have a northwood mj-80 for $1450, absolute steal.

does that refund also count shipping needed to send it back?
