I think the general consensus is Yay, but I haven't listened to lillywhite in a long time (and if anyone feels generous enough to send it to me via AIM I'd be very grateful, something happened to my copy), and I love busted stuff, so I'm not sure what to think.

LWS, the songs were great, the talent was great, the music . . . bland.

The LWS were a bust. The songs all feel dead. I don't like listening to them. I only listen to it for Monkey Man. The live versions of the songs are great! LWS as an album is bad. As a starting place, good (but they were past a starting place when they left the album, so the final version would only be mediocre). Busted Stuff was the way to go. It may not have some of the great things on the LWS, but as a whole, the songs are much more enjoyable to hear, and people don't seem to be depressed. BS is better than LWS, but the LWS would be better if they didn't get on the wrong foot during the sessions, but they did, and it was death.

BS would have been better with JTR, but like with the LWS, they got tired of it, and lost interest, so it would have been dead like on the LWS.

I really, really wish they would play JTR live.

I love the sound of the 12-string on that riff. Makes me want to buy one just for that song.
