Restringing Idea

think anyone can post a video of how to restring? im 99% sure i know the proper way but still want to be sure. just one string with a quick lesson. i think many people would benefit from this

Yeah...but I mean..you put the string in...pull it the little hole in the peg and tighten...what part is fucking people up?

thats not the right way. atleast way i have learned.

its not just putting the string in and tightening. theres a hole process. you can tune alot better when done proper

just wrap it around the post 3 times or so before you put it through the hole

oh. wow. didnt know it was that easy.

i usually just put the string in while it is facing the peg tuner thing and then wrap around the string.

I wrap the string around the peg 2 times(maybe more depending on thickness of string) and put the string ABOVE the wrapped portion of it.. it allows it so it slip and go out tune.. then tune it up, stretch the strings by grapping it and giving it a hard pull up near the soundhole.. do that a few times, then continue doing it till it holds tune

if you own a martin it tells you how to string it in the book. Its a really stupid way so i dont do it.

It doesn't tell you to wrap it around the peg head a couple of times as far as I can tell. Anyway, the way I show how to do it and the way jeffro shows how to do it are the same way....the pictures in his link explain it a little better though.
