okay, well I got a 914ce and a Hd-28v. both exceltent guitars. However, I couoldnt tell which is best. they have there ups and downs and the are BOTH guitars. simple. In fact, my 714 is better then both. but I cant seem to find that one at the moment. I think its at a friends

Dunno, same reason I read every single entry in the "Is John Mayer a better guitar player than Dave Matthews?" topic. I can't explain it, I'm drawn to it, even though it's kinda annoying. Doesn't mean it's bad or anything.

Gibson is terribel at acoustic, Gretsch is ok but not worthy of a great guitar list unless you get lucky, Rainsong is like Ovation with synthetic material so its gone, Alvarez are imports, they're ok guitars but nothing to rant about, Don't even say Fender for acoustic guitars, Never played a Hammer, Guild and Tacoma are good though, at least what I've had the oppurtunity to play. Larrivee's are bad ass. I've played around, played some breedloves too. And I always come back to Taylor when I was buying my last guitar. My next is going to be a MArtin though, unless I end up buying a 12 string than I'll shop around some more.

I meant Fender Electrics. No matter what anyone says, a sound of a good Strat is great. Then, I have played the Gretsch that George Harrison played, and it's awesome. Then, every played the Gibson acoustic guitar that John and George had (you can see John play his in a Hard Day's Night, and many other places). They are great. Personaly, I don't like Gibson dreadnaughts, but their jumbos are great. Now, Gibson electrics, you can't beat. I mean, Les Pauls, come on, and their arch tops, pure quality. Guilds make GREAT dreadnaughts, 12 strings, and arch tops. I love Guild arch-top electrics, they are awesome. Hammers, quality electrircs, solid bodied ones. If you really know guitars, you will know hammers. Now, have you ever played a Rain Song? I bet you havn't. I thought, must be crap, but I took one down, played it. My fucking god!!!!! They were great!!!! Such tone, such sound, the playability was wonderful. Also, the great thing about them, they will never warp, or anything. Their made to withstand extreme weather, no matter how cold or warm. Tacomas are just faboulous acoustics. They have a very unique sound and look. Then, even though Alvarez is imported, doesn't mean they are bad. Agaon, they are surprisingly good for being an import. If you want to diss Alvarez, look behind you, because fatjack will be lunging at you .

I thought we were talking abou Acoustic, I know some about electrices but way way more about acoustics, and yes I have played rainsong to my ear it has an awkward tone. I dont liek it. You can get lucky with an alvarez but it shouldnt be in a list of such great acoustic guitars. Every Gibson I've playyed even jumbo is terrible. They never sound good.
