So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

he definatly influenced my acoustic songs that i play. Got me into the whole concept of slapping new chord voicings, and helped me develop a much quicker strumming pattern.

Yeah, he has influenced me a lot, but there are so many people that have the same style as dave, so I am trying to get away from that, not saying its bad, I just want a different kind of sound. But the acoustic has really rubbed off on me from dave.

Its so hard not to. DAve's music is just so addicting.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Yeah possibly he's innocent. I hope so at least. But the thing that bothers me, is he admitted to breaking the girls cell phone and telling her to get off the bus...just somethin sketchy about that.

I actually picked up the guitar because I despised band class and wanted to play an instrument that didn't require blowing through a piece of brass. Treating the guitar like a drum might have come a bit from Dave, but the first time I thought to myself, "Yeah, turning it into a rhythm instrument might be cool," was while watching a show on old jazz classics like Davis and Monk. They were discussing the desperation with which their jazz pianists try to turn the piano into a drum, and I thought I might do that with a guitar.

I actually picked up the acoustic because of David Gray.
Stay with me, safe and ignorant.
