warehouse..

when the E string is not being played how do you mute this..do u just not hit it or is there a finger that is laying over it

When Dave makes the "Satellite Chord" his ring finger is always upright, and is usually laying against the E string. So when he plays that chord in Warehouse, when he doesn't hit it, his third finger is always laying over it just in case, :wink:

When I hit the notes after the third one, it's something like 7 on the g string, I bring my thumb up to mute

I mute all notes with my index finger except the 4th one where I use my thumb too for the EAD strings - I had to watch dave playing to start doing this thumb thing!

i never really have a problem hitting the E since you dont use a full stroke across every string for each strum... when youre hitting the higher strings you shouldnt hit the E string at all- pulling your hand over and bringing your thumb up could help i guess but i find that my hand naturally does that to mute the other strings anyways
