dvd burning

Unread post by Duffman » Sat Feb 07, 2004 1:21 pm

i downloaded a dave and friends dvd. my roommate has a dvd drive and he burned it, but it doesn't play on our xbox or ps2. do i just drope the VIDEO_TS folder on the disc? or do i need to do something else? or does the xbox and ps2 just not support burned dvds? it works on my compter dvd drive, so i'm thinking its the xbox/ps2.

you need to have a VIDEO_TS and an AUDIO_TS folder on the disc (even if one is blank)...then a lot of dvd players don't support certain formats of recordable discs
B+P by offer only...thank you

Could be. Check out http://www.dvdrhelp.com

Also note that X-Box and PS2 only plays some of the DVD standards, I'm not sure which ones (DVD+/-R or DVD+/-RW)

Xbox sure supports DVD-R and DVD+RW , i have a friend who use those a lot to test things with , on another note , what Matty said is correct , certain programs create the AUDIO_TS folder on their own , which is just an empty folder , but DVD players read from it , so if you only have a VIDEO_TS folder , create another folder and name it AUDIO_TS , need anymore help just let me know :)
