Bootlegs?
I go to these sites and I see all of these Dave bootlegs that are up for trading, hundreds of concerts, but I don't have any to trade and I want to listen to these shows! Can anyone help me out here?

All right, here's a quick rundown of stuff you can do:

- Find a B&P: B&P stands for "Blanks & Postage". You are not required to trade any show of your own, you just send blank CD's/DVD's to the person offering. This thread give a more detailed explanation of the B&P process.
- Download shows from an SHN server: Antsmarching.org houses one of the largest; simply go to Antsmarching.org, register, and go to "Downloads". You can log into the SHN server and download any show you want from 1990-2002 that they have on their servers (the 2003 server is presently down). These files are in SHN format - Shorten (SHN) is a lossless audio codec, so that no frequencies are lost in the conversion of uncompressed audio. They are, however, still relatively large, and difficult to download without a fast connection.
- Download from Direct Connect: I don't use this, so I'm not too familiar, and you are pretty much required to have a beefy collection first, so I won't go into this option much.
- Download a show via Bit Torrent: BitTorrent is a very unique but effective program that makes use of all downloaders' upload bandwidth in order to help others get the download as well. Sharingthegroove.org is one of the larger live music Bit Torrent/trading sites online, and I highly recommend it.
