DMB 12-19-1998 DVD B&P Offer for 5

Unread post by taylordb » Mon Oct 17, 2005 9:42 pm

This is the Live in Chicago show. This particular version is the best one I have seen yet. It requires 2 DVD discs. I can burn both +R and -R formats.

Please leave the following info:

Slot #
Name
email address

I am heading out of town, so this offer will automatically end after 5 have signed up.

And now for the particulars on the show:

Dave Matthews Band

December 19, 1998

United Center

Chicago, Illinois

Video Source: 2nd Gen VHS using Dazzle External USB capture device to VCD format

Converted by Nate

Audio Source: "Live in Chicago" cd > freerip 2.0 > Soundforge 7.0

Conversion: VHS > Dazzle USB > VCD > Soundforge 7.0 > TMPGEnc > DVD

Disc 1:

1. Last Stop

2. Don't Drink The Water

3. # 41 !

4. # 40

5. Lie In Our Graves

6. What Would You Say @

7. Pantala Naga Pampa Intro-->

8. Pantala Naga Pampa-->

9. Rapunzel (cut short)

10. Stay

Disc 2:

1. The Maker !#

2. Crash Into Me

3. Jimi Thing

4. So Much To Say

-------ENCORE-----

5. Christmas Song

6. Stephan Intro

7. All Along The Watchtower

Entire set w/ Tim Reynolds

! Victor Wooten

@ Maceo Parker

# Mitch Rutman

Notes: This has been dubbed with the audio from "Live in Chicago".

Major editing was done to the video. It went through some filters in

TMPGEnc with color correction to get rid of the bleeding. The video does

flow fairly smooth even with all the editing done to it. However, the

encore is somewhat obvious. This is my first DVD authoring attempt and I

hope some will enjoy it.

I looked long and hard for a lower gen vid to use and the only ones I

could find were all 2nd gens. This VCD conversion is actually the best

I've seen out of all of them, so I used it. I think it came out pretty

descent considering what it was to begin with. There is a cut in

Rapunzel which must have been on the original broadcast because every source

had it. If someone out there has a master to this show please let me

know so I can redo the show with better quality. Enjoy what it is for

now, it's a fun show to watch and listen to. Peace.

I'm not sure what a slot number is, but I would love to get a B+P for this show.

Thanks,

Got the show yesterday. Amazing quality and very nice "easter eggs". Thanks Danny, a pleasure as always.
