Storytellers Perfect - Available for Sharing

Unread post by billywestom » Mon Apr 07, 2003 4:30 am

This may have been done before, but since I wanted to have this show on CD, I did it anyway.

I have the 3 CD set of the entire show, but the sound quality fades in and out, and can become very bad at times. So here I have the audio files from the actual aired show from VH1...

I split them up for a perfect compilation to put on a CD - Tracks 1 - 18...You can get them from me if you would like them...from my AOL file sharing...username is "billywestom"

Go ahead and name them what you would like (if yer putting them on a CD it doesnt matter)...I promise they are all in the right order...

I never did this before, so let me know if it works or not...if not, help me out if you guys want it :D :D :D

EDIT: I'm going to be doing the same thing for the Farmaid 2002 videos soon...[/b]

Hey Billy,

Would you be willing to do a B&P for this perfect storytelles? A few years ago I bought this (stupid I know but I did not know any better at that time) from someone on the net don't even remember who. I paid $20 and I got a 2 CD set with the songs that are on the video. Then there were songs from D&T 4-22-93 show and #40 from DMB 5-10-95 show. So as you can see I got screwed. The songs were great, but I thought I was getting the whole show. So I would really love to have all the songs that were actually played. My computer at home is junk and does not have any capability to download anything. I have been saving up some money and hope to have a new one by June. If you can't do a b&p that's ok, but I had to ask.

Take care,
Cyndi

It stands for Disc At Once, it means that there is no break between songs like a live cd is when you buy it. You can do it by clicking on the advanced tab on most burning software before you burn it. Its how your suppose to make a live cd.

DAO means Disc at Once
the way ALL live recordings are suppose to be traded
no gap between songs and no fades in and outs

you can't have the best copy there is--i bet you anything you don't
I have a 2nd generation Analog > CD copy (no mp3 generation)
i also have the 1st gen ASBD/TV?Aud Mix version--it doesn't get better then that.

if you did have the best copy there is then thats even more reason not to spread a show thats cut up with fades and/or TAO (track at once, not DAO)

no its not the way they all are--if i were you i would stop spreading this show and get the mix version

edit--a complete 3 disc show isn't a compilation either
here is the best version there is

OK, you guys have really confused me! What do you mean by different versions of the show. If you read my reply above, the Storytellers I have has songs from D&T 4-22-93 and #40 from 5-10-95. When I originally got the show I thought all I was going to get was the songs played on VH-1. So when I got these others songs on it I was surprised. I did not realize that I got screwed until I got copies the shows and realized the person must have put some compilation together. So please tell me what you mean. I would like to do a b&p and hopefully get the right version of it. Billy you have a version and willdmb has a mixed version? Willdmb said they did not allow tapers, so how are you guys getting the whole show. I have the video tape of what was on VH-1 but all the songs were not on it. So how are you getting all the songs? Please unconfuse me.
