Matty and I have not done a freebie contest in a while, so now is a good time.
You know what they say...90% of the families in the US are disfunctional...the other 10% are in denial. So we want to hear your funniest Thanksgiving story. I know they are out there so lets hear them.
Same rules apply....the funniest story, as judged by Matty and myself, wins. (If you don't like the rules, do your own freebie contest..the more ther merrier

)
And the prize? Your pick of one DVD show from each of our list...so the prize is 2 dvd shows.
Contest ends 11:59 PM on Thanksgiving Day......let the good times roll.
EDIT: These stories have to be recounts of true situations....no making stories up. It's the honor system.

One Thanksgiving a while ago my Grandmother had just taken the turkey out of the oven, and my uncle walked up and thought it looked so good that he gave her a hug. Turns out that he hugged her so hard that he ended up breaking two of her ribs.
Now that I think of it, I'm not too sure that this is a funny story, but its all that I can remember.
I hope I'm not the only person who posts on this, I wanna see some other stories. lol.

So it's thanks giving at about 2:30 almost time to eat the turkey, It's a big almost 20 pounder cuz there's like 30 people eating. My grandma is getting up there (about 75 years old) and is pretty senial, but she refuses to let anyone else do the cooking. So we're supposed to eat at 3 and everyone is getting there and getting ready to throw down on that turkey...
So my mom was like, go help your grandma take the turkey out of the oven, it should be done... So I'm like, "let me grab that grandma, it's heavy".
So I put on some oven gloves and went to grab the pan and noticed it wasnt hot at all...
So I lift the tin foil off to peek at the turkey and its still raw! I was like "um grandma, I think you forgot to turn on the stove..." I told everyone, wow, we had to wait 2 more hours for turkey oh wow, it was some funny shit. We were all laughing hysterically (including granny) for like 20 minutes.
Needless to say, that was an unforgettable thanksgiving.

Back when I was in college, I invited my roommate to spend Thanksgiving w/ my family as his parents were in the middle of a divorce and things were weird. So...the night before we go out and get just hammered. On the way home we stopped on a country road to relieve ourselves (yes, we had a DD) and my roomate fell halfway down a ravine. We had to form the human chain to get him up. We get home about 3:30 in the morning and my parents wake us up at 6am to get on the road. Of course, my mom wants to talk to us the entire 2 hour trip to my relatives so no sleep for us. To add the icing to the cake, my roommate finds a chair in the basement to sit on while we are eating and about 2 minutes into his meal, the legs break on the chair (picture Shallow Hal) and he manages to spill his entire plate on himself and the floor. Turns out this was an antique chair that my aunt was in the process of refurbishing. I laughed so hard I almost pissed myself.
