Guys

I'm a beginner at trading but I want to start collecting audio and video Dave shows. Whats the best way? B&P? Tree's? Would really like an education on this stuff.

Thanks in advance.

The best way to get started is to get in on as many BnP's as you possibly can, myself and others have been offering Bnp's pretty regularly on here. You can also check antsmarching.org to see if they have any offers. Once you get about 5-10 shows, you can go to http://db.etree.org to set your list. You can check to see if people want shows you have on that site and then email them and set up trades. I started about 2 months ago and have built my collection to around 40-50 shows with a lot more coming in the mail. I am leaving town for a week and a half, but I would be happy to Bnp 2 shows for you when I get back.

Make sure you read this before you start doing bnp's:

If you do not have a collection yet that youcan trade from, the best way is build up your collection using trees and B&P's.

You need to check the boards several times every day to catch B&P offers, but it is worth it. Check here, antsmarching, nancies, tunesonthemove, anyoneseenthebridge, amidreaming, and any others you know of. When someone offers up a B&P, jump on it......then most importantly, if you have a burner, then offer up some B&P's yourself.

Trees are also a great way to build up a collection...there are two going on right now that you can sign up for:

Good Luck!

So BnP is basically...I send you a blank CD and postage and you cut me some shows? Does this work for DVD video and CD audio, or generally just audio?

So, once I have obtained a number of shows via BnP I post my shows and re-share them. So its just a sharing community?

Were would I go to request BnP's other than you?

Thanks alot.

Yeah, you send in a stamped envelope blank cd's and a bubble mailer return package with correct postage. People are definitely more willing to do audio than DVD in general, cause DVD takes longer. If you can reshare them then definitely do it. Kind of like how I am going to help you get started by doing 2 shows for you, someone did the same for me. Usually by offer only mainly. You can go to that etree site and look up DMB shows and find people who have those shows who also might offer bnp's. If you send them a nice email they are ususally cool about it.

Also, sometimes you can start a post if there is a specific show you want and sometimes if people have it they will offer to bnp for you.

OK, I checked out your list. So what do I do next? Pick 2 shows and mail you the stuff indicating what shows I want from your list?

Yeah, pick 2 shows that you are interested in. You can click on the dates to get the setlists. But remember that I will be gone for a week and a half, not getting back until November 8th. If you send it out next week, you should be good to go. Make sure if you go for DVD's that you send blank DVD's and vice versa.
