BAK files

i was converting 7.17.04 and mkw converted the .shn into a .wav but it isn't the normal wave it says BAK file below and i have no idea what the fuck that is it won't do anything...any tips on how to get it back to a normal wave file?

I have never had that problem, but I have seen alot of people ask the same question. I got this off a message board using a Google shearch "shn and bak files":

"that may be because you already have a file of that name in the directory you're 'extracting' the files in. the mkw program will create a back-up of the file and rename it as wav.bak.

simply try to remove the .bak tag and rename it as a .wav file. it should work."

Right click on the file, Rename

ahem...i'm sorry, but unless virginia beach smells twice as bad as hartford, no it won't. 8)

I take it you haven't been to Virgina Beach then....the amphitheater is right next to a swamp :wink: In all seriousness, the Va Beach shows usually kick major ass....just check out the historical setlists and compare them to other shows on the same tour. Also, it is always hot and humid as hell here and Dave is totally sweat soaked by the end of the night...he gives it everything he's got.

negative...there was no .bak tag to remove BAK file is in the sub heading which won't get renamed....any other ideas would be very appreciated
