Suggestions for the trading forum

Unread post by Matty Boom » Mon May 17, 2004 10:18 pm

Alright, well Danny and I have been doing a lot of talking and have some ideas we are thinking on...we've been talking about opening up running b+p offers of our entire index, trying to get torrents going right on this forum, doing various trees for the people here, making an all-encompassing FAQ section, and doing a "b+p of the week" for a certain disk, whatever it may be. Anyways, this is your forum...so put your input into this thread. All of the ideas you have, let us know here so we can try and work them out and make this place THE place on the net for DMB dvds.
B+P by offer only...thank you

All of those ideas F-ing great.

We need to be able to offer a pretty extensive list of dmb shows, So if you & danny could get your lists posted-- I think we could get a few peeps to help you guys out here... I think it'd be a lot easier for you two if it just wasn't two guys trying to find every dmb dvd possible.

I think what we need to do, is make a list of the dmb dvds that we DONT HAVE... and go from there...

edit: and oh.. Don't you think it'd be easier If somehow we could split the nDMB dvds from the DMB? I think it'd be a lot cleaner, organized..

If there is a way to do that, Worth a shot..

I'll have to talk with jared about spliting the forum....or maybe the correct person to ask is pittman. I remember a while back I requested the forum be split into 2...1 for DVD and 1 for audio....and there was a good reason why they could not do this.

Good suggestion! Keep them coming...as Matty said, this is your forum and we want to improve it best we can.

Peace

The good reason is that this version of phpBB doesn't support subforums (grrr). phpBB 2.2 (coming in the next few months) will obviously support this and much more.

Thanks Brock...I knew there was a reason why we couldn't do this.

About the "B&P of the week", you could have a poll to decide which show that would be.

We can't do a thing about it"

What if for BnP of the week, it be a show from the same week of a previous year?

We can try that, if possible, but there are not that many shows to cover every week. But between that and some other ideas, I think it is workable.

I think the Bit Torrent Idea is great! The only thing is, wouldn't it cost Kanter money to get up a tracker page?

I really don't know how BT works, but couldn't you just base it off sharingthegroove?
