On the right hand of the screen highlight and drag all of the .VOB files into the VIDEO_TS file on the left hand side of the screen. And yes the AUDIO_TS file should stay empty.. Now hit burn.

I have never tried it taylordb's way with burning it as data. Maybe we are doing the same thing?!?

I've burned probably 100 DVD's from videos using this method.. Good luck.

Edited to add:

Unable to read disk.. hmm.. Check the compatability of your stand alone dvd player with the DVDRs you are using... check this out at http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers

Also http://www.videohelp.com has a lot of good stuff like tuturials and FAQs for dvd burning.
How do you convert from avi or mpeg to vobs? I've tried a few different programs, none seem to work successfully. I did manage to burn a DVD from Nero and play it in my DVD player, but the audio was WAYYYY off.

Thanks

I have a number of AVIs that should go together, a few on each DVD. Would it be converting? And could I write some sort of Index as well?

I got a burner for xmas but can't figure out how to burn .avi files so I can view them on my DVD player. Any help? All I have right now are dual layered DVDs, if that matters.

I've got DVD decrypter, dvdSanta, and Nero... so if anyone can tell me how to burn avi files using one of these, or link me to something that explains it, that would be great.

avi files arent an accepted format i believe

you probably need to author the avis to vob files...

itll probably look like crap on your tv screen tho because of the compression of the .avi files, inless you have uncompressed .avi files
