If you are going to roll the dice, I would go with -R....apparently that is the most compatible (I think) <---Disclaimer

i guess im going to have to. i got a cheap apex dvd player (caues it was cheap) and it works fine. but apparently the model i got isn't dvdr compatible. (Damn them) so i gues si have to use my Xbox. i told them -r, lets cross our fingers.

hey, when i go to buy dvdrs, do i have to look for -r or +r or is that a burning thing? forgive the ignorance.

You send your branch whatever DVD type you signed up for (which should be stated in the email you get once the tree gets underway). If you are a LEAF on a DVD tree, then you do not burn discs for others. Only branches do this.

Thank the Lord for Google Cache.

That shows that the Xbox is compatible with +R and -R.

OK, here is the way a Tree works. Some VERY nice people  that are interested in spreading these DVD's get on the Trees as branches....this has already happened for this tree so do not worry about that part now.
Now the Tree starts...you sign up as a Leaf. What that means is you send your 2 DVD blank disks (in a B&P package) to the Branch that you have been assigned to (this happens after the Tree closes to Leaf signups), sit back and wait for the Coooooooool DVD to hit your mailbox. Put it in your player and enjoy. Nothing is expected of you in return.

However, if you have a DVD burner, it would be so nice of you to return the favor to others by offering up some B&P's....but this is not required.

Hmm. I've got a dvd burner, But i've got no idea how to burn em...

I imagine I make an iso...but What software do I need?

I'd like to finally get it figured out, so when I've actually got time I can offer up a few B&Ps..

45 spots or so left

if you sign up you will NOT have to burn for anyone, you will just need to send 2 blank discs to someone B+P style
thew blanks will be -r or +r
if you are not sure what to sign up for i recommend -r
they are 97% playable in "new/recent" dvd players
if you have a old player, or even a new--its poss the discs will not play
but if you get good discs and have a fairly new player you have a high chance they will work

if you already signed up the structure is done so editing your stuff now will do you no good (i am nice today and included everyone who didn;t sign upo the way i asked) but if you left no format then you went where i had room

if you havn't signed up and choose to do so now--then leave a format and i will do my best to fit you in on the branch
99% get what they ask for

that'll tell you everything you need to know
also, it's never too late as long as you get one of the available spots. go to the sharethegroove website and as long as it doesn't say closed, it's still open.

a few more stupid questions:

do you have to know this "will" or be a "trader" in order to get the shows?

and

I signed up on the message board (name, email, format), will i get an email sent to me telling me where to send the stuff to?

sorry, i'm a bit slow
