I'm well aware of the mp3 rule, but I was wondering, what's the problem with mp3?

mp3 is a "lossy" format, meaning that quality is lost each time it is converted or copied. If you want a good example of this, download a copy of #40 from the Yoshi's show off of Limewire, Kazza or the others. What you will get is a very poor quality static filled copy. Then lsiten to the shn format version....very clear and crisp.

Sorry, wasn't aware of that. I only converted 1 time from the flac's that I got from ants. For some reason they're not up there anymore. Oh well. This was an AWESOME show.

That show was very awesome...

You can convert shows to .mp3, but you have to be very careful about what you do with them. I convert shows to .mp3 so I can put them on my iPod, but I also have the shn/flac files on hand incase anyone ever wants a copy of the show.

Never give or recieve a full show in any format other than shn or flac... it'll just make a bad situation worse.
