I would try the DVD Decrypter route. It is VERY easy to use. I have a Sony dual format burner and the software that came with it sucked.

You want to get the latest version of DVD Decrypter...I think it is 3.2.3.0 but you should check....again, I would download it off of the official site.

As far as disk brand is concerned.....I believe both of those mentioned are low grade. In the DVD world, quality is everything and I would stick with TDK, Maxell, Fuji. I have heared stories of some burners not working on certain brands, but I think that is very uncommon.
what do u mean switch software?...like by accident put in a cd-r when i am supposed to put in a dvd-r? cause if thats the case that is not the problem

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i want this to work!
Software= Program.

Hardware= Cd.

Use dvd decryptor, Drop your cheap dvds and buy whatever is good, but cheap. ( See Media Deals at top of trading page. ) Read the tutorial for dvd decryptor, or look it up on google.

What danny was trying to say, was that maybe you're program is set to cd burning mode, instead of dvd burning.
so how do i change that to dvd burning mode for nero?

If you are using NERO 6, and using NERO Express (I think that is the name for the dialog box that pops up), there is are two tabs at the upper right of the box...one says CD and the other DVD. Make sure you have clicked on the DVD tab.

But DVD Decrypter kicks NERO's ass when it comes to burning DVD's, so take my advice and DOWNLOAD DVD DECRYPTER, INSTALL IT AND USE IT.

I would be more thatn happy to get on AIM with you and talk you through the process, but I am out of town and using someone elses computer. I will be back home Wednesday evening. If you are still having problems by then, catch up with me on AIM....my screen name is taylor db (with a space between the r and the d).....but I won't help you if you do not have DVD Decryter loaded.
You're only as strong as the tables you dance on.
