VH1 Storytellers Set List

Unread post by heliker » Tue Mar 02, 2004 8:13 pm

So I've been trying to compile the whole VH1 set list and get it onto an album, but I can't seem to get the order straight. I looked at nancie's list:

http://www.nancies.org/tour/reviews/19990324/

but it seems to be wrong. To name just a few inconsistencies: in the broadcast version, the cave crickets story follows Don't drink the water. And in the released CD, the naked hotel story preceeds Tripping Billies. But these are obviously cut (commercial break, etc)... so is the Nancies list correct, and the released VH1 stuff cut and spliced into whatever order they felt best?

thanks!

Here's the list from AntsMarching.org.... http://antsmarching.org/tour/ViewShow.php?ShowID=1999 and as far as I can tell, they are the same as the Nancies site.

the broadcast version, the cave crickets story follows Don't drink the water. And in the released CD, the naked hotel story preceeds Tripping Billies.

I have the tv version and i'm pretty sure the cave cricket story is before ants marching. I have a dave and tim show that is a few days before the storytellers, the bride benefit, and dave is all wasted and tries to tell the story but keeps on screwing it up. I think its kind of cool that he had to practice his speach before the vh1, which he cleaned up and smoothed out rather nicely on storytellers.
The hotel story is before billies.
And i don't remember whats before don't drink the water.
I too have been trying to complete the storytellers setlist and still haven't figured it out. So anymore help would be nice(*stoned*) :D
Thanks!

Ok, well if you download these songs and the video you'll notice that satellite starts the show("so we're gonna just start right into it until i stop being nerves")

Well, i just don't know. All i have is the vh1 video and all the songs on audio and you can kind of piece them together if you listen to them. I don't think the above setlist is correct.

They didnt Air all the songs for example the 2nd time around on spoon isnt there. And who ever 1st taped it missed like the first 30 seconds of Satellite. But the CD is a Complete set of the songs Aired on VH1.

dude, there's a store in chico ca. where i used to live and the owner had a box of live shows under the front counter and he sold me like probably forty of the dave shows i have so far. Anywhere from $12 to $75. I don't mind paying for a show, i mean if its right there at the store and its only twenty bucks and then you'll have a whole live show? Why not? I don't have a dvd burner and i can't go to "all" the dave shows but i can get on cd :P

of COURSE he minds! thats the whole point of having the taping policy - the free stuff is ok, but its ILLEGAL to sell the type of thing you get from sites like antsmarching.org  - dave and the band shut tons of people down for doing that - go check out the Official Legal Policy at dmband.com
