Some Devil is finally out!

Unread post by willave » Wed Sep 24, 2003 7:20 am

Well, Some Devil is finally out after THE LONGEST WAIT!!! I got yesterday on the release date, and although I've heard most of the songs already, I'm still pumped. But I was wondering what everybody thought of the album. It's definetly different from what Dave has done in the past, and I was looking for yall's take on it, what your favorite songs were. I think it rules!

My favorites songs right now would have to be either Some Devil or An' Another Thing.

And, of course, Gravedigger...

"Made his great-grandchildren believe you could live to 103.
103 is forever when you're just a little kid, so
Cyrus Jones lived forever."

Unbelievable[/quote]

I don't think JTR and An' Another Thing are even close to each other.. an' another thing, even shown in the booklette, was named little thing before, but they changed the name for unknown reasons.. my favorite songs are Dodo, so damn lucky, some devil, and Oh

It may be true about the song originally being called Little Thing, but listen to the chorus. That is definetly JTR. Almost the same exact words, and the same chord progression, just styled differently and Dave sings it in falsetto. It's slower maybe too.

my kidneys aren't in a twist, but my brain is trying to figure out how you would think that song is the same as JTR

its not even close.. jtr chorus sounds nothing like an' another thing chorus.. an' another thing's chorus IS little things chorus, which sounds nothing like jtr.. "Rain, rain.. rain down on me, again, again and again, rain down on me" doesn't even go into an' another thing.. not trying to sound like a dick, but you got me on how it sounds like jtr..

okay, yeah you guys are absolutely right! i just listened to JTR and it's not that, but i knew I had heard that in another song besides an' another thing and little thing. And Dave has used besides that. It's the interlude from Dreams of Our Fathers. So you all were right.

My bad!
