Where Are You Going
is absolutely not a bad song. sure, it's simple. sure, it's a little poppy. But...the message of the song is so pure and true and the simplicity of it quite perfectly encompasses the whole emotion behind the song. I love this tune...it's one of the few DMB songs that I can still say that about w/out any hesitation.

that's the benefit of not listening to the radio...good songs don't get ruined and I don't have to listen to all the other trash.

here's my opinion on the song:
i don't really care for it. its just a little too poppy, and its not because of the lyrics (i actually kinda like the lyrics). the reason i don't like the song is because its indicative of the downhill slope dave's songwriting has been going down. its just not as inspiring as other songs that he's written that show a lot more creativity. c'mon dave! lets write something that falls out of the key of D!

I agree that Dave's songwriting has gone down the tubes, but to pin it all on that song is ridiculous. I think it's a lot brighter and more endearing than half the other crap he's been putting out lately. It was about as perfect of a simple little song as can be. not too much and just enough and the lyrics are great.fatjack wrote:here's my opinion on the song:
