I think it's basically about a relationship ending and enphasizing the need to get over it, I don't think it's any deeper than that, trying to look for the best in all things, maybe an opposing thought to halloween from jean grey?

I found something that summarized a statement dave made; it sai dthe song was abou siezing the day.

and you didn't pick that up from just listening? "Don't burn the day away..." I'm not trying to be rude, but the is clean cut...it's about as blatent as dave songs get

If its so clean cut, why were you nowhere near what dave said his song was about?

come on, are you really that dumb? I was going on the obvious that it's a carpe diem song...if you can't pick that out, then seriously, I question your literacy. the song screams it til your ears bleed, I was trying to just take it a little deeper and decipher what situation spurned the need for the type of song based on the following lines...
