I got a problem

Unread post by Easy E » Sun Aug 10, 2003 10:38 pm

So I'm in the car with my mom the other day and i put in Crash on the CD player So we're listening to So Much To Say and my mom turns it up. Shouldnt my mom be turning down my music, I should be rebelling against my parents, they shouldnt be able to stand my music. How am I supposed to defy the man when the man is liking what I listen to.

Anyone else have this problem?

By the way Im pretty damn bored.

ha ha you were riding in the car with your mom! :P

but seriously... there's nothing wrong with that, me an my ma like a lot of the same music, it shouldn't matter if she is your authority figure, certain types of music speak to certain kinds of people. if an artist is good, then their music isn't directed at one type of person

My parents love DMB! Especially L@LC.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Not sure if my parents like DMB, but I know my mom definitely prefers listening to them instead of Incubus, 311, and Metallica.

My mom loves James Taylor, and well, so do I, and she has a great voice so she'll pop in the greatest hits and sing away, same with my 14 year old sister, something about James.
Their both getting into Jason Mraz......scary......

my whole family loves dave. it is kinda crazy how good music cuts across generations and all that (led zep, beatles, sting, taylor, etc). man, thats a nerdy compliment: "dude, your music cuts across generations..."

well now that's just wierd.

my dad was listening to weezer the other day, which shocked me (if it's not gospel or the eagles, he's not touching it). & my mom & sister don't mind dmb, as long as it's not DDTW or halloween (because of his voice. neverminding that these are two of the greatest)

My parents don't like Dave because he sings about drugs in a few of his songs, but I like it that they don't like him. My parents are still stuck in the 60's, listenin to the Beach Boys and all the oldies. We can't stand each other's music
