Unread post by saleen » Sun Aug 03, 2003 12:09 pm

My first DMB show, it was pretty fun and the place was packed. Rhyme and reason was sick........ but the best part was watchtower when the guitar player from the roots was out there on stage just going off jimi style.

here is the setlist:
1. Crush
2. Grey Street
3. Pig
4. #41
5. Everyday
6. The Last Stop
7. Cry Freedom
8. Rhyme and Reason
9. Warehouse
10. Grace Is Gone
11. All Along The Watchtower
12. If I Had It All
13. So Much To Say
14. Anyone Seen the Bridge?
15. What Would You Say
16. Pantala Naga Pampa
17. Rapunzel
Encore:
18. The Maker
19. What You Are

Thats a hot show. I would change the encore to What You Are then Watchtower and put The Maker where Watchtower was. But that was a nice set, I hope i get Rhyme and Reason at Hartford

Does anyone else kind of like If I Had It All. My friends hate that song, but I think it's alright.

I listen to it just for the pretty opening acoustic lick. Once the song goes to "If I were a king" it gets way too heavy and goes from pretty to mediocre. But I still think it is one of the better songs on EveryDay

Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

true dat. I have yet to actually buy Everyday, I have all the other cd's, but I mean as it is the worst studio cd in my opinion, there is some decent stuff on it.

Ok wow.

I thought the San Diego Show was the best I've seen. This show topped that by far. The band was great. Before Grace is Gone, Lessard busted out the slide guitar and palyed some blues for us. Kirk Douglas played the best solo I have ever heard durring watchtower (yes, better than timmy) and before What You Are dave busted out Some Devil. The pre and post show music was also the Some Devil CD. I think it sounds pretty good. Different, but good. I'm still pumped up from this show.....

:D :D :D
Sonmetimes I would try to catch her, but I never even caught her name.....
