Tim Reynolds Guitar Workshop

Unread post by GuitarGuy305 » Mon Jul 21, 2008 10:37 pm

Originally posted by Fluffy at the TR boards, and I've seen it crop up in a few DMB related places. Myself and a few others have already signed up and I think this is a great opportunity to be taught/jam with one of the greats. Thought someone here may want to check this out:

Here it is, your chance to spend 3 days with TR as your guitar instructor. My understanding is that there are only 9-11 slots for this seminar so don't put off deciding, you may miss out.

Honestly, I think it is a tad overpriced but I mean the Ranch in general. Tim's is no more expensive than Warren Haynes' or G.E. Smith's workshops.

Though, for someone who is as big a TR fan as I am, it is worth every penny! But would I pay $1200 to sit down with just any of their workshop instructors, probably not.

Yeah, the $1200 is for the entire weekend and all days of workshops with Tim. Meals and accommodations are included. I actually just got my invoice via email today confirming my spot at Tim's workshop. Time to start getting excited...and practicing...

The official workshop description from the Fur Peace Ranch site. Only TR...

Tim Reynolds Workshop Description:

Coming Full Circle with the Acoustic Guitar

The monkey will switch on it's monkey, shake it's monkey, beat on it's monkey & make a number of mysterious gestures. After this, it will confuse itself in an attempt at inter-species communication. You are welcome to take notes. Translation: 6 & 12 string acoustic fingerstyle, flat-picking & composition. Performing original material as a springboard to teach individual techniques of each composition. Taking students thru the ideas and feelings of each song.
