Can Dave still hit falsetto's?

Unread post by geo3217 » Fri Oct 12, 2007 9:26 pm

Greyants41 posted this in the Up and Away thread, but I just wanted to make sure: Does Dave have trouble using falsetto lately? Did he permanently damage his voice from belting too much?

This past tour he has been pretty good about hitting the high notes at most shows (that I've heard at least). The difference is definitely noticeable. I mean, listen to a show from the mid-late '90s and listen to a show nowadays, he just can't consistently hit the notes he used to.

He needs a year of break where he almost doesn't speak to regain his voice. As much as I love hearing Dave play, he needs it to continue his career. I think the falsetto problem started as a support issue and has moved on to a vocal damage issue. No good.

He's quit smoking now. So let's hope his voice will only get better as shown this tour from the 05 tour.
