Name a Show You Missed That You Still Regret To This Day
I posted this on another board. I think it will get some good responses here as well.
I'm sure I'm not the only one here who has had the chance to go to a really great show and have something come up, lets hear your stories. Here is mine.
I had tickets, almost front row balcony for D&T at The Stanley Performing Arts Center in Utica, NY way back in 1997 (The show date was 1.25.97 to be exact). I was so excited and then I got my hockey schedule for the upcoming season and saw that I had a tournament in Massachusettes the same weekend. Needless to say I was pissed, but there was no way out of it so I had to sell my tickets. I got the tape a little while later and that just made me more upset, because it sounded like a great show. I've still never been able to catch a D&T show to this day Here is the setlist:
Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds January 25, 1997 Stanley Theatre, Utica, NY
Lie In Our Graves
#41
Lover Lay Down
Dancing Nancies
Pay For What You Get
Recently
Say Goodbye
Help Myself
Crazy
So Much To Say
Crash Into Me
The Song That Jane Likes
Two Step
Stream
Let You Down
Too Much
I'll Back You Up
Leave Me Praying
Is Chicago, Is Not Chicago
Proudest Monkey
Satellite
Tripping Billies
Typical Situation
Ants Marching

Night 1 Burgettstown, PA 03
I had just recently gotten into DMB over fall/winter 02 and knew I wanted to see them the following summer. My sister was my ride, and she had a weekday job. This show was on a Thursday, so we went night 2 on a Friday. While night 2 was an excellent show, I'm pissed I missed You Never Know, Last Stop, Pay For What You Get, and Typical Situation.

i went outside union chapple in 2001,(dave solo) tried to get in but a load of yanks had flown over, (no offence guys) but it was his first ime in the UK in 6 years, 300 seats, and according to the paper the next day over 50% of auduince had flown over the pond, plus a load of journalists.
i was like , fuck ive been here since noon. trying to get in (plus a LONG time on the phone before and when tickets went on sale)
i really wanted to go, but since ive been to 2 awsome solo shows, both of which i was less than 5 meters frm dave. (about 1.5 meters in Bham)
karma.

Gervais on Rosa Parks "she was arrested but then that law was changed- but she didnt stop there, she started sitting in the seats saved for disabled people. unbelavable, she talked to the driver when the bus was in motion- did she have the correct change ready? - did she bollox!"

Whoops...
Central Park, I was gonna go, but didn't feel like dealing with my family there.
D&F, my plane landed an hour late, so by the time I got ouit of the airport they had already went on.
