Spokane wedding acoustic guitar player

Unread post by IvoryZion » Wed Sep 13, 2006 2:32 pm

Not sure if this is the right forum for this question. I'm getting married in early December in Spokane, WA and my fiance and I thought it would be cool to have someone play an acoustic guitar at our wedding. Not necessarily sing, but play as guests are arriving and even during the ceremony. We thought it might be fun to have this musician play some Dave songs in addition to some classical arrangements as well. My hope for this post is to mine the vast acoustic guitar player knowledge base on this board.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

not sure if he;'s interested, but Teego lives near Bellingham i think and is from the seattle area. He is really good, and can probably use some cash to pay off his accident.

also i think it is a cool idea, but I would have dave covers without vocals. i think that would make it really cheesy, but just acoustic renditions of DMB's prettier stuff.

Looks like a great idea!

Teego can't do it. Maybe someone else near Spokane will see this post.

I live in bend, oregon but i'm the head chef of a restaurant and am pretty pre-occupied with work. When is this wedding going to take place?
I'm confident that i can perform most of dmb's songs but its the date and time that really effect me.
?

Thanks for responding dmfollower. The wedding is in early December. We're hoping to have someone play mainly classical or new age stuff at various times during the wedding but we also want a few acoustical dmb songs (Crash etc...) as well.

In that case i'm probably not your man. You could probably hire a professional guitar player, i think they have those, right?

I can't seem to find any guitar players close by to do this.
