Everyday... w/ Matisyahu?

Unread post by pacific34 » Thu Jun 15, 2006 3:16 pm

Has anybody heard the audio from last nights Everyday with Matisyahu's freestyle? Not a big everyday fan, never heard this guy before but just wondering what it was all about.

hmmmm, J5 and Roots are both fuckign horrible. Matisyahu is one dimensional as shit.

yes everyday is overplayed, burnt out, and sucks balls.

sounds liek it might be cool cause matisyahu can actually sing a good raggae skidip, so it might actually make that shitty song a little better. G. Love didn't help everyday much, but maybe he can..... :?

he's a gimic. i personally dont like listening to people sing about their religion and his back up band is good, but I hate what they play, too fuckign rock and roll for a raggae band.

he has a cool voice and a great delivery, but he's a gimic and i dont get what makes him better than other reggae artists.

Okay, I'll give you Bartender and Christmas Song, but that's out of a 100+ song catalog.

I think some would argue that the basis for many (not all) of Dave's lyrics are religious.

I personally don't care for Matisyahu either. He's alright, and for the most part, sounds like every other reggae act out there.

Do we have the audio of this song?
joe.

I think you're combining religion and spirituality. Dave is agnostic (at the least), and he rarely sings about religion. Spirituality, sure.
