Check this out, some guy spent the afternoon with Boyd when he was at ESPN doing some stuff and made some interesting finds such as the status of Machead. It turns out that there are some recordings of it from when they were working on it during before these crowded streets, they just never finished it in time for the album. Preatty cool, maybe we will see a recording of it eventualy. Anyway, keep checking back there for the interview to be posted...

He said that Boyd said JTR was rehearsed in the studio about two times before Jazzfest.

It's good that they had some JTR studio time though, even just rehearsal. That shows that they at least planned it and maybe there is a clip of the practice of it or something. Like I said, if it doesn't fit the new album, gives us a studio cut on a bonus disc :D

I have no idea what the hype about Machead is, I just know it's been talked about alot and some of you might want to know. Anyway, a studio cut of JTR would be sweet.

Isn't the mystery behind "machead" the fact that Steve Lillywhite thought it was the best song they created during those sessions? I thought I read that a while back somewhere on here. Maybe not the best but the most beautiful song?
