I just saw this on Stephan's website. The band is now back in the studio.
He is doing a daily journal of the process, check it out:

I believe it's supposed to be Batson, I hope not however.

that's pretty awesome

i'd assume batson is producing this album. they said they'd do another one with him. and Fonzy said they've worked with this producer before...and we can be pretty sure it's not Lillywhite.

There are a lot of clues in that journal entry that make me think it is Batson. DMB obviously hasn't experienced enough backlash yet. And maybe they like the quiet calm and lack of any energy at all at their shows during songs like ODH...

On the bright side, with my expectations this low, all they can do is surprise me.
