Really? I think it's pretty awesome lyrically. Musically, really chordy, but how many DMB songs aren't? I just really love the raw live energy and the "YEAAAH" part at Utah last year gave me chills.jellyfish wrote:Im not really into that song.... While it has good energy, musically & lyrically it is kind of bland.

Read my mind.
The lyrics are what make the song, besides leroi, boyd and dave's pattened chords.
"The money is clean, cause we scrub it good.
Guns and Gasoline we're gonna save the world.
Nothing is obscene, if we only close our eyes.
Boys and girls welcome to this joyride."
Dave mentioned he'd like to be able to express his views more strongley inside his songs(aol interview), Joyride is the perfect example. Hopefully, the band will play this song again and realize how amazing it is.
"They called it Aspen because "buttpencil" was already taken."

"A commom mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is underestimating the ingenuity of complete fools." --Ford Prefect
"Don't forget to bring a towel." --Towlie

it'll come back out, i think they just didnt want to play a lot of stuff that didnt get put on the album. I mean, I think they are really proud of the album and they'll play that material since it just came out, i'm sure next summer or the folowoing asummer we'll see a return of sugar will and joyride.

Probably be pretty good too since he won't have Batson being all "yo yo yo this is off the hook" stupid shit he does. Until He writes stuff in the studio, that is.

I think the music on the new album is great, its just the produced sound of the drums, the way they made them sound like drums on a hip hop or rap .is what i cant get over on the studio cd. I love the new songs live though, if you notice dave doesnt fill ever little part of the new songs with lyrics or sounds. We'll see some new songs too. Have you tried to arrange your own personal oncert with DMB to elimnate everybody else? Im sure they'd do it for $100 bucks or so.btbesong wrote:with every ounce of my bodyGSR wrote:i assume you hate the warehouse whoo's too?

and i'm starting to hate the singing at the end of The Stone.
Pretty much all crowd interaction in general I hate. I'd rather hear the band do it rather than the crowd.

I tried, but Coran told me that Dave said to fuck off
