Here is an easier way to play it the intro.

Code: Select all

E:--------------------------------
B:---------------8---3--3----3----
G:---5-----7-----x---x--0h4--0h4--
D:---x-----x-----5---4--x----x----
A:---3-----5---7-7---5--5----5----
E:-5-5---7-7----------------------
I played it that way before I could make the stretches, it sounds pretty much the exact same, just not as full. If you really wanna be able to play it and cant make the stretches just play it that way till your hand gets looser and can take the stretches.

heh, kinda funny, its playing right now.
its one of those songs where you seem to find a new sound or fill every once in awhile.
...and we're all thirsty
like drunks on Sunday
brooding like the blades of a fan on low speed
or a writer with only one good line.

well, you know what i mean by "fingerpicking", the way dave plays it at L@LC, yeah, there were only a few voices in the bkgnd, not too bad, but really adds to the feel of the song, reminded me of LIOG studio

oh you mean the intro, picking each note....yeah i love that LIOG studio...i read in rolling stone that they recorded themselves playing ping pong, and put it over the song
