Re: Jason Pevear van rypers virus
Before you make such rediculous claims & say Im spreadin virus', make sure you have a clue what your talking about. I ran a scan with Symantec Antivirus Corporate edition, (last update 8.17.2005) and it shows nothing. Is it possible to attach a virus to a video?, if so, I wouldn't have a clue how to do it.acusticdude wrote:Hey jason, I think vanrypers part 1 has a virus attatched to it. jason, I am not accusing you of anything......It is not a ridiculous claim..... I downloaded the show and got a virus....cleaned my system with norton.....downloaded again and got the virus again.....then I went home, scanned my system at home, clean..... Downloaded the show.... virus showed up again. I am not trying to be a dick. I don't see in my statement how I was accusing anything ie.."I THINK". I am not a computer guru, but when a virus only shows up after a download I have to assume it is from a download. Either way, I was only pointing out that there MAY be a virus attatched and for people to beware. I would not even begin to think you would do somehting like that on purpose, but shit happens sometimes. I thought we were cool but I guess you are willing to jump on just about anybodyjellyfish wrote:Before you make such rediculous claims & say Im spreadin virus', make sure you have a clue what your talking about. Listen, I didn't bite his fucking head off. Simply told him to make sure the video is infected before making a claim liek this . All he had to do was scan the individual file and he would have seen "NO VIRUS Found"Dale_Milligan wrote:Yeah but dude you can see his concern. And all he was trying to do was let you know, and you bit his head off.jellyfish wrote:Not harsh, when it's not true.
Time of the month?
If he wanted to let me know he could have PM'd me or emailed me rather than associating my site with virus'.
Cry all you want.. Standing my ground.

Jason, the file itself did have a virus. I don't want to fight with you but I did check it out before I made a post. sorry I am not up on the etiquette of Pm'ing but that was the first thing i thought of when i found it. I thought you would take it a lot better than this being 30 years old and all. All I know is I had a clean computer before I downloaded your file and twice i got the virus from clicking on your link and "saving target as". if you read my first post I was basically just asking if you checked your file. I never pointed a finger I just pointed out a possibility. I never said anything concrete about you absolutely having a virus. I WAS concerned for your computer and everyone elses on here, but now I really don't give a shit. I am also 30 years old and i don't have time for this teenie bopper bullshit. I was trying to be a good dude, like the other day when I offered to GIVE you my DVD burner.
please if anyone else happens to find Win32/Gaelicum.A virus on their computer after downloading this file please post here

You never indicated that the file "itself" had a virus. I really don't see who that's possible unless someone had infected the FTP server I am using. You need to stop acting like I hurt your feelings. As an adult you should realize that people get offended & While I appreciate you letting me know about this, I don't appreciate big, bold letters "Jason Pevear - VIRUS".acusticdude wrote:Jason, the file itself did have a virus. Yes, to me that's offensive because we don't know the truth yet.
But, tell me where I handled this like a child? If you look up Im not sure you can do that, I simply said make sure your claim is validated before posting this information on a public board.
Again, i appreciate you letting me know but don't expect an apology for me saying " make sure you are correct...etc" Espcially after you say things liek I act like a teeny bopper
