click on what u would think would be the best step for dmb to make very good quality music again, when u choose one you don't have to be against another option, just what u think is the best.

peace and love

how about keep doing what they're doing, and they'll enjoy it, and good music will come.

I honestly dont care. If they keep playing music that they want to play, I trust that they will put out some great music. I personally enjoy the new album, so I dont think they need to do anything different.

the NEED TO TAKE A BREAK FROM TOURING

what the fuck are you gonna write songs about if all you do is play on stage.

and it really shows.
"Forget about what you are escaping from," he said, quoting an old maxim of Kornblum's. "Reserve your anxiety for what you are escaping to."

Dave has been touring non-stop with or without the band for nearly 15 and in the midst of all that write all the music we love them for. Sure he takes a fall or a spring off, but if he's not with the band, him and Tim are playing, or now D&F. He feeds off of those he's surrounded by, Some Devil for instance, hanging around with Tim and such encouraged the CD. There was a 3 year break between Crash and BTCS and they toured a lot between then, so I mean, yea a break would be nice but eh, just keep doing what you're doing.

Face it, bands get old, they're getting old and can't keep up with all their long time fans standards that are so outrageously high. Yes SU was sort of a let down, but take it for what it is and just let them do their thing. I'm sick of the pissing and moaning because your favorite band won't keep making the same stuff YOU like, they aren't making it specifically for you, they making it so they like it. /rant

I don't know what I just said and its 6 am, bah good night!

Dave's writing is the center of everything great they've ever done, with very few exceptions. While each of the other members bring their own unique flavor to the table that makes the Dave Matthews Band what it is, I truly believe that Dave Matthews is the heart and soul of the band, both lyrically and musically. The band being called the Dave Matthews Band was probably a subconscious recognition of that. Creed wasn't called the Scott Stapp Band for a good reason. Without Dave the rest of the guys probably would've had relatively mediocre careers in music, if any. Dave was destined for greatness.

What they don't need is more personalities in on the creation of the music. An occasional guest might be cool, but too many cooks spoil the broth. Let the producers produce and leave the art to the artists.
