where would you want to be?

Unread post by musicalman865 » Wed Jun 29, 2005 12:23 pm

if you did have a chance to hangout, and watch dmb record an album what one would you want to be around in?

1.watch them in the early days of uttad sessions
2. go to woodstock ny to watch them record crash usually in a circle.
3. watch them get deep in to the process of songwriting and recording in btcs.
4. be there during tough times back in virginia when they felt like they were struggling with IMO great songs recording lws.
5. go to LA and watch them with glen ballard, record the more upbeat songs, everyday.
6. watch them redoing most of the lws tunes in ca,busted stuff with producer harris.
7. go back to haunted hollow studio in va, and watch them really get in to themselves and eachother musically with batson and their new tunes on SU.

I know i didnt have to say that ^up there but just thought i'd remind everyone lol.

If i had a choice I'd go to VA and watch them record LWS. I knew it was tough times for them but I would have loved to see and hear them record that mix.As a second choice, definetly BTCS, as reason, like lws, simply great tunes.

I would definitely want to watch the whole LWS fiasco. I really want to know just what the hell happened in the studio that made them want to scrap some of their best work ever. You never get a straight answer out of any of them when asked about it, so it would be cool to see it first hand.

I would say LWS, but it seems like it was awfully dark, although the music made during that time was amazing. I would have to go with BTCS, it would be inspiring to be in the presence of an album that excellent being made. Think of the other cool people you would get to meet who guested too.

Alanis Morissette.

I think it'd be fun to watch Stand Up in the process, since they seemed to have the most fun recording it

Stand Up. I heard their farm is awesome and they have four wheelers and stuff. It sounds like they had a great time while making this album.

I would have to say SU. That way I could kick Batson out of the house and tell the guys to just follow the creative flow they were feeling when they wrote Hello Again, Joy Ride, Crazy-Easy, and Sugar Will.

Edit: I just realized that there are people on this board who've probably never heard Jagged Little Pill because they were like 2. That scares the fuck out of me and makes me feel so fucking old.
